July 19, 2019 Congrats to the good people at Southwest Airlines and their outside counsel including Tim Ryan, Rebekka Martorano, and Andy Ryan on their defense verdict in Oakland today. This was a challenging wrongful death trial, involving a passenger who had a pulmonary embolism while in the bathroom during flight. While the trial and pre-trial prep took me away from home for much of the last 2 months, I am so honored and proud to have been part of this success story. Special thanks to the jury for sticking with us for 5 weeks and for getting it right. And kudos to all involved for trusting the jury system.

May 24, 2019 Congrats to Mike Stolper and his team, as well as our clients Gentry Beach and Rob Vollero, on their $45M jury verdict ($90M with pre-trial interest) in NY on a breach of oral agreement case. This was a long-standing and contentious battle over money owed to portfolio managers within the hedge fund world. In the end, it may have boiled down to a case of character due the complexities involved in the financial transactions at issue. It was both a privilege and pleasure to contribute to this success story.
