Congrats to Mark Walters, and his team from Lowe Graham Jones, PLLC on their jury verdict in a fraud case pending in Seattle on behalf of their client AlfaPharma. Mark is an excellent lawyer who is always prepared and very passionate about his cases. It was a privilege to once again work with him and play a small role in this success story. This result plus others indicate that even over zoom and during a pandemic, juries still get it right. Knowing what drives their decision-making remains the key. Our trial themes were so compelling that the Judge didn’t even send the case to the jury, but rather issued a directed verdict before deliberations, ruling the life sciences patent at issue invalid based on subject matter eligibility.
