October 8, 2021 Congrats to Eric Buresh and his team from Erise IP, as well as Melissa Smith from Gillam & Smith, LLP on their defense verdict in a patent trial in Marshall, TX on behalf of Sony. This dispute involved patents on video game features, and the East Texas jury found no infringement and that the patents cover well-understood and routine technology, which paves the way toward invalidity.
